XXIII Race walking World Cup‘2008 took place in Cheboksary since 9 till 11 of May, 2008. More than 500 sportsmen from 60 countries participated in the event. For the first time ever in the history of the World Cup, sportsmen from India, Mongolia, Ghana, Moldova, Peru, Palestinian Authority, Morocco and Tadzhikistan participated in the tournament.

The stadium is equipped by “Avangard” seats, and also there are bleachers by “Avangard” along the race track.
